More yellow: retrospective

Post-theme day. Still confined to barracks with illness, so, inspired by some terrific collages featuring yellow on yesterday's theme day (Kim, Julie, Marley, Simon, Julia, Jeremyb - sorry if I missed anyone) I decided to look at the Yellows I'd captured in almost 3 years of this blog.

  1. What a delightful post theme day collage. There's lots of yellow in our world once you start looking for it. Hope you're up and around town soon.

  3. Just clicked on it large to view better and how fun to see that even your pedestrian signs are "Bob shots"! Of course I'd love to hop onboard the boat and get out in the harbor, maybe go fishing with the guys, and deffinately lounge on that beach for a bit, perhaps in that yellow lawn chair (mind if I wear your sandals?) I will pass on wearing one of those hats or going into the yellow biffy, or into that giant gaping maw. These are all just splendid, and I bet you had fun reviewing your shots to pull out the yellow feature. How did you construct your collage? The little program I've used for our color theme days has no creative wiggle room, just grids shots. I like that yours are various sizes and that you could thoughtfully piece them together.

Hoping you are back in the pink and feeling strong and fit very soon,
    -Kim

  4. Kim mentioned the very thing that I noticed, Sally. The variety of size that you were able to incorporate. Did you build it up bigger and bigger or is there some way you could do it all in one go?

It is very effective. What is that oyster shell thingy? I think I remember that last year some time ... but remind me ... I did go over the "great divide" last year!

  5. Kim and Julie: I just udes the free tool on Picasa, and chose the option that does this (Mosaic I think). You can shuffle them around automatically.

Julie - it was a lamp in a shop window in Newtown.
