Here is the Strand Arcade, where yesterday's fashion shot was taken. Late Victorian architecture. I especially love the iron and glass roof, which reminds me of galleries and passages in Italy and France. Here we can see Sydney Tower through the roof. Below are the three levels of very expensive shopping!

ReplyDeleteI love the architecture but the shot too 'cause it gives the exact feeling that was a design purpose: to get light, to let see out.
ReplyDeleteOh my. This is almost exactly like former streets in Sendai, Japan where I was back in 1953. The Japanese took entire streets and enclosed them under glass roofs and then paved the streets with beautiful tiles and the buildings were made to look like mall interiors. They did a beautiful job there not unlike those your camera caught. Good job.
