Back home from the bucolic charm of kookaburras on clothes lines, flowering gums to the cityscapes which include high rise living. Each has its charms and attractions. Whcih do youprefer - the quiet of country life, or the hustle and bustle of activity all around?

without a doubt the country life, I am fortunate to live between the two, best and worse of both worlds.
ReplyDeleteoh the country most definitely! but with regular visits to cities for stimulation and people watching! your blog is great, that is the first Kookaburra I've ever seen and those pink flowers!!! gorgeous!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteright at this moment, I'd give my life for fresh air and a mountain stream.
ReplyDeleteGood question, Sally!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the big city life and all its wonderful conveniences but I won't mind a short vacation in the country once in awhile.
Theres still something great about city life. But of course its even better to have both. Here in Poland, I am fortunate as I live in a city but also go to my wife's family home in the country every weekend. Makes a nice change. Thanks for visiting us here at Toruń DP!
ReplyDeleteSally,
ReplyDeleteBeing an Aussie, I guess I would say, 'both'. we also have both, pretty close at hand, too.
Thanks so much for popping into Adelaide DP and your comments on the Opera House. I will show them to you, but as I only have one Blog, unlike yourself and some others, I might have to fit them in on a future occasion. I suppose I could break from the ROOLS and post the lot in one hit, so to speak.
Why, not. Yep, I will, in a little while.
Thank you so much for your nice compliments.
Country, close to the city. I grew up a city person, and Villigen is my first taste of the country. I LOVE it, but then, I'm also extremely close to cities (as far as cities in Switzerland can be called cities :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's best to live in the country and have the city just a short trip away, so you get the best of both.
ReplyDeleteI like to spend some days in big cities but i'm happy to live in a little one. But Sydney...i think i could live there!
ReplyDeleteI love all the squares; the repetition makes for an interesting photo. I agree with most of the comments: a little of each provides a nifty balance.
ReplyDeletemake the moolah in the city and rejuvenate in the countryside!
ReplyDeletethank you for stopping by...hope to see you more often!
Fresh air and a mountain stream sounds great, as edwin said. I like your photograph and I like to pass on through the big cities.
ReplyDeletei like both too!
ReplyDeletehmmm depends on which side of the bed i wake up in the morning! haha...
Sydney's such a nice city, and one hour out of Sydney you get beautiful country life.
I’d take the country life. There’s a substantial amount of hustle and bustle there as we’re heading for spring… :)
ReplyDeleteLive in the country and travel to the cities for all their wondrous offerings is my ideal!
