Aussie stadium

Last night we went to the rugby at Aussie Stadium. Here's Paddington terrace houses (and the moon rising) through the open part of the partial roof as people are arriving.

  1. I have never been inside Aussie Stadium. I love that sweeping roof. Great panorama.

  3. Used to be called Sydney Football Stadium, It is suitable for sports using a rectancular field - rugby, rugby league, roundball (soccer), but not aussie rules which is on a oval - and played at the Sydney Cricket Ground right next door.

The acoustics are pretty good here - in fact Barbra Streisand held Sydney concerts here, and she's very particular about sound. (I was there ; it was great)

We saw Italy v Spain at the Olympic Games here.

  8. I like the effect this shot has on my equilibrium! Thanks for posting the long image as well. I gives a wonderful sense of place to these stadium shots. I can really imagine from your photos sitting there in this huge venue.
