Calm before the storm
Every child in Australia should learn how to swim, given our relationship with water. Most do.
November is swimming lesson season for school kids all over the country. It's towards the end of the school year, and the weather is warm to hot.
Here at the public pool where I swim laps, Roselands, the onslaught is gathering .... a few calm moments between morning and afternoon lessons.

An essential skill in many parts of the world; one that gives great pleasure as well as a sense of security.
ReplyDeleteIdyllic. My cousin taught me how to swim, and as he was a lifeguard, he was qualified.
ReplyDeleteI remember swimming carnivals there in the late 60's and early 70's... used to buy honeycomb at the canteen there. Doesn't look that different... :-)
