Arncliffe station

  1. Prior to my first car, I boarded a City train here every weekday morning for six months. The station was a different colour (faded yellow I recall) and rather dilapidated back in 1973. It's been done up at least once since then. The afternioon train was a 'through' so didn't stop till Rockdale.

I invariably shared the entry section of the standing room only carriage with a girl my age who went to Fort Street High. We were both too shy to start a conversation. Her name was on her bag. I wonder where Jenny H..... is now?
