A little bit of Sydney in Cairns

An old Manly ferry, brought to Cairns.
I'm currently sitting in the car on a headland/lookout in the middle of the Daintree rainforest north of Cairns updating this blog....there's very little signal anywhere else. So, I'm not responding or interacting with anyone at the moment! It's a bit disconcerting being without mobile, computer and anything else for so long at a time!

  1. IT's disconcerting to be away from the internet, isn't it?

    These are lovely shots, Sally!

  2. Hi Sally! What are you doing in the jungle? ;)))
Have great memories of Cairns and the Barrier. Wouldn't mind to get back! Anyhow, lovely pictures!
    Have a great weekend!
Meanwhile, Blogtrotter, now «Deep in Crete» is always looking forward to having your comments...

  3. Gail & I need to go somewhere without the Internet, as we're both sadly addicted.

Your photo reminds me of the film Fitzcarraldo, where Klaus Kinski played this guy who took a paddleboat through the Amazon jungle, so he could turn it into an opera house. ever see it?
