Public Education
The billboard on the left is sponsored by the NSW Teachers federation, the union representing public school teachers. It has no control over the billboard on the right...I think they look like Great Kids.

Very cool! You couldn't stage this if you tried to. Sometimes things just come together without trying.
ReplyDeleteThat shot has an ironic touch. Education doesn't always teach about freedom. Levi's much worse. hahahaha.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Perú
I love the juxtaposition of both signs, and how clever of you to notice and photograph!
ReplyDeleteFrom an Australian travelling in southern chile, the juxtaposition is great as it looks intentional for the missing kids in the advertisement. i originally thought that was the idea.

"some people" may complain that it makes public schools look deprived and tough...not private school blazer and hat enough! (interesting given kids in 99.9% of NSW public schools wear uniforms, unlike the obviously uneducated swill in most of the rest of the world ;-)))) As a teacher uniform bores me rigid, and I always ask the uniform nazis how kids in France, Germany, the US, senior schools in the UK etc etc could POSSIBLY learn anything???
