A second post from me today, seeing as an event of some significance happened in the early hours this morning.Norton St is the centre of Sydney's Italian community. These Italian fans made no secret of their feelings. Thousands of people woke to watch the World Cup final starting at 4am. At 8.30am as I happened past the bars and coffee shops were still overflowing, and this procession was taking place.
Actually, this is a very amusing picture with the "coffin" in the background!
ReplyDeleteThanmks kate. I heard a report about it on the radio, so I hurried over hoping to catch a glimpse, and they were just rounding the corner as I arrived. I was hardly late for work at all ;-)
