Harbour Bridge at Dawes Point Park

Here's one from the library (but not previously published), because work is so crazy busy I haven't been able to take any new photos lately. Hope to make a couple of excursions this weekend and snap some fresh stock!

Old Childrens Hospital

This modern apartment complex is very attractive - I like it a lot. It is on the site of the old Children's Hospital at Camperdown / Forest Lodge.

Anzac Day - Lest We Forget

Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) Day. A day of commemoration, with marches in towns and cities throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Link to my four previous Anzac Day posts.

I don't usually go to a march or service, but this year found myself in Sydney as the march came to Hyde Park. Hre's a few snaps I took. The horse in the top left commemorates the Boer War weterans. World War One is commemorated by the flags of the units....there are no living participants left to march.

World War One interests me most, as my grandfather was at Gallipoli and the Western Front. Here's my blog about him: Percy Smith, ANZAC.

On Anzac Day, 2005 I attended the commemorations at Villers-Bretonneux and Bullecourt (pictured) in France, where services and marches are held every year.

Foggy Morning

We woke to a fog this morning - not unusual in autumn. Then, it cleared to a beautiful, sunny 26 degree day. Here's the view through my windscreen as I left for work. Tomorrow - what I snapped when I got out of the car.

Office building after dark

Thankyou to everyone who wished me a happy blogiversary for yesterday. I wish I had time to respond to everyone individually, but at this stage of my being, it's enough just to be able to keep up posting.

Sydney Daily Photo's 4th birthday

April 19th is SDP's 4th birthday. Here's a selection of unpublished pics featuring my favourite activity and environment.

The posters are a selection from an exhibition I saw some time ago at the National Maritime Museum in Sydney on the history of the swimsuit. The other two are me this summer at one of my favourite Sydney places: the beach at Little Bay.
