Every year, as part of the Art and About exhibition (free street art in Sydney), there is a photographic exhibition in Hyde Park North. Large canvases are hung between the trees. For the next few days I will show some of my favourites.

Biscuit

Recently I showed the photo of the family taking their pet pony for a walk. Today I was back in Daceyville (watching son play cricket) and I met them on the footpath. The pony's name is Biscuit.

Burwood Post Office

Recently I was in the Inner west suburb of Burwood. The old post office (now let for commercial purposes) is a beautiful example of Victorian Italianate architecture.

Here's me in 1977 (check the flares!) at Sydney University engaged in conversation with a wall of the old Wentworth Building. Nothing grew from this conversation, and the wall no longer exists.

The photo was taken on a Kodak Instamatic.

The following year I bought one of these in Hong Kong - one of the nicest cameras for the enthusiatic amateur ever made. It travelled the world with me several times, including 2003 when I borrowed a digital camera as well, and often accompanied by a Pentax ME - one for slides and one for film, or different ASA films. I didn't go fully digital until 2006. I still have that lovely K1000, and spare lenses and instruction manual - wish I had a case for it - it wore out.
