  2. Hi Sally, nice page(s). I found your Arncilffe page from a google search in which I tried to find info about an old building on acreage across from the river near the bridge at Tempe (I think) where some tall white or grey unit blocks now exist. I remember the site as a kid, I seem to remember it being a monastary or nunnery or similar. I always intended to get out there and do some photography before it was redeveloped, but was far too slow. Now that I have a digital at long last, I am beginning to document some things which I find interesting, and will create my own pages soon.

Re the old building, do you remember what it was, did it have a name and if there is any info out there on the net about it?

    many thanks!

  3. Anthony - sounds very much like Tempe House to me. It was indeed owned by the Good Samaritan sisters at one stage. You will find an entry all about it in the archives of the Postcode 2205 site!

  8. Hmmm. A few days ago I ate sea urchin for the first time. Actually, it would be more proper to say I spit out sea urchin for the first time. It is far better to look at one of those cute little critters than to munch on them.
