This wall of a now-closed business in Erskineville provides a fair bit of visual interest. Many may recognise 1960s TV star kangaroo, Skippy, and her "master", Sonny, in the top left corner!
I taught Garry Pankhurst, who played Sonny. It was at Randwick Boys' High School and he showed he could not act when he appeared in a play I directed. He suffered as each time he approached a class te kids all made kangaroo noises. He reached a level of infamy later in his school career.
What an interesting wall!
