Grapes

When crushed, these small globlets of delight can produce a fruity little beverage (fizzy or still) well suited to being raised in celebratory esteem.

As many people have been doing in the wake of yesterday's election result.

I espied this trellis of grapes in the front yard of a house as I was walking to the polling booth yesterday.

  3. They look an awful lot like Chardonnay Grapes.

The Chardonnay Socialists of Lilyfield enjoyed too many of these on Saturday Night.

Hooray - I am still unable to do much more than cheer - I am a very Happy Camper.

Only sour note is that I heard Bruce Baird lost his seat. Bruce Baird was one of the 4 Backbenchers who got the previous Prime Minister to end the mandatory detention of Children in Asylum Seekers cases.

The opposition will be poorer without him

  4. Hello Chardy Socialist

I think Bruce Baird retired. But I am not sure there wasn't pressure from the dysfunctional extreme religious rightwing of the NSW Branch to do so.

Whatever, an extremist got pre-selected, but then was forced to step down because of irregularities (ie branch stacking etc) and someone else got the nod (not sure which faction he came from)

Yes, Bruce (and Petro Georgiou and Judi Moylan who both remain) were the conscious of the Liberal Party.
