Curious horse, Windsor

I stopped to take a photo, but beat a hasty retreat as this horse came close. Not because I was scared but because NSW has had an outbreak of equine influenza, which has completely stopped race meetings in NSW and Queensland, and caused a ban on the transport of all horses. i didn't want the horse owner to start razzing me for being close to the horses...the influenza is amazingly easy to transmit between horses by anyone who has been close. (I know these aren't race horses!) .

  1. Horses are beautiful creatures; I'm quite taken animals and I have a special place in my heart for them. PS. Sally, I left a message for you on my Tuesday post. It NEVER occurred to me that your comment re. military cemeteries was critical in any way. It made me do a little more reflection which is good for the soul!

  2. That's too funny, Sally. I guessed that this horse wasn't of the racing variety either. Hee Hee.

  3. Hi Sally, just stumbled across this pic! This is my horse, Banjo who lives in Windsor at back of the Church! He is part of a team of three clydesdales who operate Windsor's Clydesdales Restaurant. Unfortunately, they were knocked about with the horse flu, so hopefully you got away from Banjo and the boys in time! Please visit again - they'll smile for the camera if you take carrots !
