Et In Arcadia Ego*

An area of Greater Sydney, called Arcadia, with market gardens, orchards, parks and nurseries. Aptly named.
* apologies to Nicolas Poussin!

  1. That look really green. I've been to Perth and that was mostly desert. I guess Sydney must be different with more rain. Interesting.

  2. Hi Sally,
    Lovely to catch up with you and Sydney through your blog, as always! I hope you win the seat in the next elections you run for.

    Enjoyed your visit to Terrigal last week too.

    You tagged me, I'll take up the challenge next week. Frightfully busy with painting my new apartment, putting equipment in the kitchen (they come bare here when you rent, you need to buy all your kitchen furniture, how stupid! buy lamps too, if you don't want to stay with bare light bulbs hanging from the ceiling... trying not to spend a fortune settling in but otherwise am fine!!!

  3. A peaceful pastoral scene of...yep...aptly named for sure! No water shortage here...must be very tough for market gardeners and orchardists.

  4. And, no, I have no idea what happened to Choo Choo bars..perhaps your theory is correct! I now am not really an aniseed lover...though I don't mind an ouzo in the 'right'setting ;-)

  6. The famous French painter of the classical period Nicholas Poussin was born in Les Andelys in 1594. The town owns a wonderful Coriolan supplicated by his mother that can be seen in the room dedicated to the painter.
    Its near of my house in Normandy.
