Children's bike track, Sydney Park

This is a great place for young children to practice their developing bicycling skills in a safe road traffic education area.

The chimneys in the background are also a feature of Sydney Park - they are remnants of the former brickworks on the site.

  1. Loved your Bastille Day flags - I went to school at "Lapa" as we called it, and Bastille Day was special. We learned The Marsellaise and would sing it for people from the Consulate.

  2. The good thing with this track is that is a permanent one.
In France, children can only learn traffic using real roads, or once or twice a year, police go t school and prepare a temporary track in the playground.

  3. Excellent! Is it open to all or only to kids following a street safety awareness programme?

  4. That would be an ideal location to practice bike riding safety.

  12. That's a great idea - I know some adult cyclists who could use a refresher on the road rules over here in the States (specifically what a stop sign means) ;)
