Look! Autumn's coming!
The leaves in the avenue of oak trees I pass in the park on my walk to the station are starting to show the first signs of autumal browning. I noticed it for the first time this morning. Autumn is my favourite season; still warm, not too humid, cooler nights, and the sea temperature is usually at its best for swimming. What's your favourite?

I have noticed little signs too Sally. Morning mists over the local cricket oval are occuring and it's only six weeks before the clocks go back. Summer seems to have rushed by.

You speak about autumns and springs in the middle of winter :)
ReplyDeleteGreetings from wintry Finland to you , Sally!
Yes, I wondered where you have Autumn this time of year? I'd rather be there than here in Ohio where it is below zero again this morning and snow is heaped up high along the roads.
ReplyDeleteWell autimn doesn't actually begin til March, and it's still muggy and hot, but there are signs it's a-coming.
