It actually looks very beautiful to me. It's not a place I'd normally frequent, so haven't seen it looking like this before. Aren't those trees magnificent!
Belmore Park is very attractive these days, and while some of the meths-drinking boys might be stretched out in the sun, it's actually not too bad during the day. It had a makeover for the Olymoics, is the sight of a fair few community functions (eg Chinese New Year), demo rallying point and of course walkway to the station for all the workers. I've also seen lunchtime touch footy games there.
Very attractive grounds, Sally. Doesn't strike me as winter, tho; looks more like fall.
ReplyDeleteI can assure you it's mid-winter!
ReplyDeleteCertainly today hit the depths of winter for any true-blue Aussie. Very hard to tolerate.
ReplyDeleteThis is a grand part of town to wander with a camera, Sally. There are so many characters in that park - just don't do it at night!
That photo makes it look a lot more elegant than I remember it. Was commonly known as "derro" park by those of us who worked nearby.
