Red Cross Blood Service
I'm not sure why all these people can't donate blood, but I know why I can't...because I lived in the UK between 1980-1996 for a cumulative period of 6 months or more. It's possible I'm a mad cow! It gave me something to think about while I waited for my train this morning, anyway.

There are some on TT who would think that it's entirely possible you are indeed a "mad cow". I don't agree of course and am only joking :)
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work. I'd start an Adelaide daily photo but I don't think I'd have the commitment to last more than a couple of weeks.
Will Rose Miller be blogging her recent trip?
Colin.
Maybe they can't because one is under 18, the other is pregnant and the old man... just too old...is this possible? This is something I've never done but should think about and soooo many should do likewise !
ReplyDeleteExactly the same in France!
ReplyDeletealice - I thought maybe the man has a tattoo - that precludes you for 12 months anyway! I am sure you are correct about the others.
ReplyDeleteI can't give blood either, for living in Germany for a couple of years during that time.. it's ironic because I went vegetarian during that time! LOL now I have to google this and see why the man can't give! From what I read at the american red cross site, there is no upper age limit.
ReplyDeleteI saw the cinema ad version of this yesterday, but missed the older man in it. The cinema version explains why each person can't donate.
