Somewhere over the rainbow

Taken at sunset in my street after rain.

It's also a reminder that The 3-week long Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in Sydney finishes on Saturday night (at sunset) with the spectacular parade, watched each year by tens of thousands of spectactors. Have a look at skies all over the world.

  4. Hope the pot of old is there. I's a sucker for purple but the rainbow is double whammy.

  8. Maya - I just used the colour palette thingy in Blogger - highlight a few letters at a time and change them.

  10. Spectacular. The fronds hanging down make it particularly impressive somehow.

And then thanks for the song today in Avignon - it's my birthday today and the joy in the song suits me perfectly. Cheers!

  13. Thank you for all those lovely comments yesterday. It is inevitable that with at least 4 of us in the one city, that some duplication will occur.

The overhang here - is it a callistemon?

I am going to the start of the parade this evening - mainly to get photos for my Stranger project. I expect to discover quite a few strangers there. Being shorter than short, the parade itself passes over my head ...

  15. Wow,I wonder why I missed this SWF post, this is the most wonderful I've ever seen. I'd love to see rainbows, but in truth I've never seen real ones yet. How lucky of you. :)
