Inside Customs House
Taken from the top floor of the interior of Customs House (Cafe Sydney). The lower floors house a branch of the library of the City of Sydney. This green structure fills the atrium.

Those blues with that amazing green - fabulous!
ReplyDeleteVery striking structure. Love the colors in this photo!
ReplyDeleteI love that entire building. Totally under used, of course. This is where my daughter and I listened to Helen Garner last year.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you say is it under-used? The cafe at the bottom is always full, at cafe Sydney it's like there's no recession, and the library always seems to have lots of patrons.
ReplyDeleteEach time I have been there - admittedly during the lunch period - it has been quiet. According to Kirsten, the library does not have many patrons at all. If I can swing this new job I am after, I will try to vary the times of the day I go. I like the area very much.
ReplyDeleteI love that buidling, especially the library. I think quite a few people don't realise there is a library in there. The cafe is full whenever I've been there (admittedly at lunchtime) and there have always been people in the library. Interesting to see the form from that perspective, I've only seen it from the bottom and the first floor.
ReplyDeleteI love the angle you shot from, the colors and the lines - it's a magnificent photo.
