The building itself is a most attractive piece of simple Victorian architecture and was the centre of a big fuss about 10 years ago. It is a listed heritage building -- it has a preservation order on it anyway -- but its owner wanted to demolish and redevelop, and he had actually started when the Council took him to court and stopped him and forced him to restore the damage he'd done.
IIRC it used to house a doctor's surgery, but ever since the court case it has had shops that sell posters, printed t-shirts etc. The talk on the street is that he's been seeking out such tenants as they tend to be fairly short-lived businesses. That way he hopes to convince the Land and Environment Court that the building is so obsolete that he can't attract a long-term tenant, so redevelopment will be necessary.
Whether that is true I don't know; but Holey Moley seem to be doing good business and don't look as though they're about to go anywhere.
