Learning to surf

My son spent most of last week learning to surf. More pictures about the process here.

  1. Well this has been instructive. I always thought people down under were born knowing how to surf. Thanks for illuminating the subject.

  4. james: well, yes, you're right of course! Fortunatley the boards grow on our feet after birth!

I know I'm too old to learn - my balance is appalling, and lower back shot, and wouldn't have the agility to get upright!

  5. belle photo de surfeur, moi je suis incapable de tenir sur une plance à voile, alors j'imagine même pas sur un surf.
l'australie est le pays des surfeurs, non ?

beautiful photograph of surfer, me I am unable to hold on a plance with veil, then I do not even imagine on a surfing. is Australia the country of the surfers, not?

  7. Looks like fun! The closest I ever got to surfing is tubing, ie. a big inflatable tube tied behind a speed boat. And I was hanging for dear life on the tube. ;-)
