Sydney Hobart Yacht Race

It was a beautiful, windy day for the start of the annual Sydney to Hobart yacht race. In a very fast time of 5 mins from the start, supermaxi Wild Oats XI (left) was out of The Heads, followed not long after by Ragamuffin Loyal (right). The entire fleet had rounded the buoy and were headed south in 17 minutes.

  1. OMG you were out on the water. The swell was enough for me just watching from Cape Solander.
    Wonderful shots.

  2. Thanks all. Yes we were out on the Freshwater (Manly Ferry) annual fundraiser for the wonderful work done at Stewart House.

  3. The supermaxi Wild Oats XI looks terrific, surrounded by other yachts and by smaller craft. Rough weather makes for dramatic photos, but I hope it isn't too rough to sail safely.

    Happy hols, to you.
