Hyde Park Barracks

Coffee break at Hyde Park Barracks, Macquarie St, Sydney. The Barracks, designed by colonial architect Francis Greenway, is a world heritage listed building.

Great photo. The barracks must have been a nightmare for those convicts living there. But the architecture in your photo looks a bit softer than the convicts probably experienced it.

I love early buildings with beautiful hand made bricks. Life was tough all round when this building was built.
