Apparently Prince Charles talks to his plants to help them grow.
Here's me in 1977 (check the flares!) at Sydney University engaged in conversation with a wall of the old Wentworth Building. Nothing grew from this conversation, and the wall no longer exists.

The photo was taken on a Kodak Instamatic.
The following year I bought one of these

in Hong Kong - one of the nicest cameras for the enthusiatic amateur ever made. It travelled the world with me several times, including 2003 when I borrowed a digital camera as well, and often accompanied by a Pentax ME - one for slides and one for film, or different ASA films. I didn't go fully digital until 2006. I still have that lovely K1000, and spare lenses and instruction manual - wish I had a case for it - it wore out.
