I completed my apprenticship at Co Dock; we use to store pipe flanges, massive brass Sea Chests, an array of flanges etc. I use to love accessing that tunnel in summer in heat wave conditions, as you can imagine Plumbers working in a Ship Yard had to improvise regarding climate control in those days! Another in house thing Plumbers live to do when sweltering summer temps hit, we accessed the huge cement water supply Cistern on the hill and swim in the overly fresh chilly water under the cover or maintianng the mesh filters etc. We called Cockatoo Island : The Rock or Alcatraz! lol.
Beautiful, indeed! Such gorgeous patterns and colors!
