Australian Open
Andy Murray and Roger Federer are battling it out for the men's title as I write.
Here's a pic of Rod Laver Arena at Melbourne Park, taken when I was enjoying the earlier rounds there last week. That's Justine Henin and Elena Dementieva on court.
Below, a view of Melbourne Park (the tennis centre) and the Melbourne Cricket Ground from the top of the Eureka Tower.

And now the amazing Federer has won another Grand Slam title!
ReplyDeleteGo Roger ... !!
ReplyDeleteI heard a fan proposed Rafa Nadal during a match. Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! Love this picture. This is so great that you were able to go. Yeah, Federer won again!
ReplyDeleteI watched the women's final before falling asleep and saw some of the men's final when I woke up in the middle of the night. I enjoyed all of the TV advertisements for visiting Melbourne and enjoyed seeing the scenes of the Rod Laver Tennis Center, which we saw on our visit to Australia a little over a year ago. I find it of more interest to see events like this on TV if you have been there.
ReplyDeleteWell done my Swiss mate. Bisch halt sch eine vo de beschte!
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid the Fed Express is unstoppable.

ReplyDeleteWow, that is quite a complex! Thanks for showing us where the Australia Open is played.
ReplyDeleteHey, don't tell me you won tickets to the Australian Open again - with helicopter flight to boot ?!???
ReplyDeleteI gather this was taken from the telly?
